South Auckland could be described as being a little rough. It's reputation paints a picture of poverty, crime and culture, a mixing pot for expression in all forms.

Emerging from the depths of Māngere, DeHusslar Music is an independent electronic and bass artist who's latest single, *II VII V DUB* is inspired by a landscape where sirens, flashing lights and helicopters are part of the everyday.

Driven by aggressive bass, distorted textures and hypnotic vocal elements, II VII V DUB is designed for powerful sound systems and festival stages. The production channels South Auckland street energy into an immersive and intense electronic experience.

Following the PREZ@MINEZ EP where Nga Mihi was the lead single, DeHusslar has created a catalogue that blends bass music, atmosphere and experimental production. II VII V DUB is the latest release from the upcoming album *Watermelon and Dick: The Festival Album*, created alongside acclaimed New Zealand artist Tiki Taane.

Operating independently without major label backing, DeHusslar is part of a generation of New Zealand artists proving that globally focused, festival-ready music can be created and released on their own terms.
