Aotearoa’s very own soul, funk, and disco queen Lou’ana, returns with her powerful new single ‘Disco Coven’, a nu-disco anthem celebrating joy, freedom, and transformation. The track is the final single from her upcoming album Disco Witch, which will be released in two parts — with Side B landing on Saturday, June 21, aligning with the winter solstice to reflect the darker themes of the record.
With shimmering strings, lush grooves, and a groove reminiscent of Chic with a modern Dua Lipa flair, ‘Disco Coven’ was co-crafted with producer Nathan Judd and a fierce lineup of live musicians. The song is paired with a striking lyric visualiser, drawing on the mystical energy of Aphrodite and Hekate.
“It’s mystical but grounded,” says Lou’ana. “The fire in the video represents the transformation we go through when we reclaim our power.”
Following her award-winning debut Moonlight Madness, Lou’ana continues to evolve with Disco Witch — a bold, soulful exploration of dancefloor magic and personal mythology.
