Deva Mahal embarks on a nationwide tour to bring her latest EP to life
Some artists arrive with hype. Others carry presence. Deva Mahal has always sat in the second camp, and this April she will return to stages across Aotearoa with an eight-date tour supporting her new EP FUTURE CLASSIC VOL II: FUTURE, out Friday March 27.
The run opens at the Waiheke Jazz Festival on April 3 before heading to Dunedin, Queenstown, and Christchurch. The North Island leg follows with dates in Mount Maunganui, Napier, Wellington, and Auckland, wrapping on May 2.
The upcoming EP features recent singles ‘South Coast’, ‘Need’, ‘Sometimes Good’, and ‘Til The Morning Comes’, alongside new tracks ‘Slow Down’ and ‘Someone’s Daughter’, offering a mix of sultry grooves, heartfelt lyrics, and soulful expression that defines the record’s sound.
The shows mark Mahal’s first major national tour in several years. Across intimate venues and festival stages, the tour offers a rare first listen to the new EP in a live setting.
