Liv Beckett finds her voice between medicine and music with debut EP Let Go

By day, Liv Beckett works the wards. By night, she builds slow-burning neo-soul and indie-pop songs shaped by feeling and reflection. Now, her two lives come together with the release her debut EP, Let Go.

Rooted in neo soul, R&B, and indie pop, the project leans on soft synths, close harmonies, and plain spoken emotion. Beckett draws from artists like Olivia Dean, Billie Eilish, RAYE, and Kimbra, yet keeps the focus close to home. She wrote and recorded much of the EP in her childhood bedroom in Auckland, the same place she first started writing songs.

Produced by Baz Suamili, Let Go feels honest. It introduces Liv Beckett as a new voice in Aotearoa’s alt R&B and pop space. Grounded in skill, shaped by pressure, and ready to step forward.
