Eden Park listed as one of the best large live music venues globally
Auckland’s Eden Park has been named one of the world’s top large live music venues by IQ Magazine, placing New Zealand’s largest stadium alongside some of the biggest concert destinations in the global touring circuit.
The recognition comes as part of IQ Magazine’s 2026 Stadium Stars, which highlights 20 major venues recognised by the live music industry for their ability to deliver at the highest level for artists, promoters, production teams and fans.
With a concert capacity of 60,000, Eden Park is the only stadium in New Zealand capable of hosting more than 50,000 people, giving it a unique role in attracting major international tours to Aotearoa.
The stadium’s 125-year legacy is most well known through its sporting history, but Eden Park has increasingly established itself as a major live entertainment destination in recent years. Its inclusion in IQ Magazine’s Stadium Stars reflects this evolution and the venue’s ability to compete on the international touring map.
For a country at the bottom of the international touring map, having a stadium capable of competing with the world’s best large-scale venues is a significant asset. Eden Park’s inclusion in the 2026 Stadium Stars is further recognition of Auckland’s capability on the global live music circuit.
